Fast Food Meal Calculator (2026)
Use this free fast food meal calculator to build your order before you reach the counter. Pick a chain, add items, and see your estimated total price range plus total calories — so the number on the screen never catches you off guard. Every price and calorie figure below comes from our own verified chain guides, and because franchise prices vary by location, totals are shown as a range, not a fake exact number.
1. Pick a chain
2. Set a budget (optional)
3. Add items
Estimated total — prices vary by location. Tax, delivery fees, and app markups are not included.
How to use the fast food meal calculator
Pick your chain, tap the plus button next to each item you plan to order, and watch the totals update. The estimated total shows a low–high range because the same item can cost a different amount at two restaurants in the same town. If you have a spending limit in mind, type it into the budget box and the calculator will show how much room you have left — or how far over you are.
Switching chains does not wipe your order. You can build a McDonald's order, check Chick-fil-A, and come back — your picks stay saved while the page is open. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.
5 ways to pay less for the same order
- Check the value menu first. The cheapest items on most menus sit on a dedicated value list. Our McDonald's value menu and Wendy's value deals guides show what actually qualifies.
- Use the chain's app. App-only deals and rewards points beat the menu-board price on most orders. A free item every few visits adds up fast.
- Skip the combo when the math says so. A combo is not always cheaper than buying the pieces. Build both versions in the calculator and compare.
- Split the big boxes. A 20-piece or 40-piece nugget box costs far less per piece than small boxes. The calculator shows the per-piece gap if you compare sizes.
- Watch the drinks. A large specialty drink can cost more than a sandwich. Water or a basic soft drink keeps the total down without touching the food.
What the numbers mean
Estimated total. Every price in this calculator comes from our verified price guides, and most are ranges because franchises set their own prices. Your restaurant's actual total will land inside the range in most cases, but it can sit slightly outside it in high-cost areas like airports or big cities.
Total calories. Calorie figures come from the same guides. Where a guide lists a small calorie range for an item, the calculator uses the middle of that range so the total stays a single honest number. Sauces, extra toppings, and customizations are not included unless they are listed as items.
Calories per $1. This is a rough value check: how many calories each dollar buys in your order. It is not a health score — a box of nuggets scores high here and a salad scores low. Use it to compare value, not nutrition.
What is not included. Tax, delivery fees, driver tips, and delivery-app markups are not in the totals. Delivery prices run higher than in-store prices at most chains, so expect a delivery order to land above the top of the range. For delivery specifics, see our McDonald's delivery and Seven Brew delivery guides.

Frequently Asked Questions
How accurate is this fast food meal calculator?
It is as accurate as a pre-order estimate can be. Prices come from our verified guides and are shown as ranges because franchises set their own prices. Expect your receipt to land inside the range at most restaurants.
Does the total include tax?
No. Tax, delivery fees, tips, and app markups are not included. Add your local sales tax on top of the range shown.
Why does the calculator show a price range instead of one number?
Because one exact number would be wrong at half the restaurants in the country. The same Big Mac can cost a different amount two miles apart. A range is the honest answer.
Which chains are included?
McDonald's, Seven Brew, Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Popeyes, and Sonic. An item only appears if our guides verify both its price and its calories.
Why is my favorite item missing?
Either our guides do not yet verify both its price and its calories, or the figures conflict between our pages. We leave those items out rather than guess.
Can I use this calculator on my phone?
Yes. The buttons are sized for thumbs, and the totals box stays visible while you scroll on most screens.
Does the calculator save my order?
No. Your order lives only on the page while it is open. Refreshing the page clears it. Nothing is sent to a server.
Are the calorie counts exact?
They are the figures from our guides, which come from chain nutrition data. Customizations like extra sauce or a different milk change the real number.
How do I stay under a budget?
Type your budget into the budget box. The calculator shows what is left after your picks, or how far over budget you are.
When were these prices last checked?
Last checked: Oct 17, 2026. We re-verify prices monthly, and this page updates when the underlying guides change.
